┌───────────────────────┐
│ Running a pointsystem │
└───────────────────────┘
From Version 4.13 and above, you can also install TrackM
if you are running a point. TrackM will detect messages
with wrong origin- or destination address just as if is
running in a node environment.
When compiling the nodelist, TrackM will automatically
insert your 3d-pointaddress in the IDX-file. This address
should be the only address TrackM should know from your
pointnet. So don't include a pointnetfile in the nodelist-
set-up.
TrackM makes sure that message leaving your point will have
proper addresses. Unlike the 'normal' unregistered version
you will find some additional features for message-clean-up.
So if you write a very long message and TrackM finds a
wrong addressing it will tell it to you by returning the
message to you. However you will find a copy of the original
message in your BAD-Mail directory.
If you register TrackM you will have access to *ALL* functions
of the normal nodeversion. Normally you cannot use all of them
but you will find a lot that will also run in a point environ-
ment (f.e. Disturb, Asshole, Readdress).
Where to install:
1. If you want to use the Reminder-database you have to run
'TRACKM REMIND' ones a day.
2. Every time you write a message - or at least before you
pack them for sending - run TRACKM without options.
Best gess is to invoke your editor from a batchfile like
the following:
@Echo off
FM
TRACKM
3. Run TRACKM after your program to import the mail has
finished. Here you can check the new mail. If you have
the registered version and want to use features from
the manager section this call of TrackM is the most
importand.
┌────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ What is different to the 'Node-Version'│
└────────────────────────────────────────┘
In Pointmode, TrackM takes care that *ALL* messages leaving
your system will have a correct address in 4d. In Nodemode
you can choose wether a address should be 3d or 4d.
One main reason for bad messages is that your editor takes
the address for answering to a message not from the message-
header. It looks for the MSGID line ! So TrackM makes sure
that your message has a proper 4d MSGID-line even if your
editor does'nt support this.
If you running the registered version, you *have to* set
all points (if you want to install other names) to *NOT*
be 4d ! In Pointmode TrackM has a special function to do
3d-4d remapping that may give curious results if you also
install 4d-Points under a 4d-Point.

└──────────────┘
Copy TRACKM.EXE and TMSETUP.EXE to the directory you want
them to exist.
Run TMSETUP.EXE and enter your fully 4d-address. Now you
*MUST* leaving TMSETUP with saving.
Reinvoke TMSETUP.EXE and continue your installation.
